The development of the entire Slocum Center campus (landscape and building facilities) for Orthopedic Healthcare Northwest (OHN) has been guided by principles embodying a conscientious approach to energy, environmental design, and construction.  One of the project’s distinctions is that it has been, from its initial phases, conceived to be of one of very few private sector project’s in the area to seek Certification under the guidelines of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program.  Toward that end, many aspects of the landscape design are both distinct and different than those normally encountered in other medical center campuses.
