Ashland Creek Restoration Ashland, Oregon AIA Southwestern Oregon People's Choice Award; Landscape Architecture, 1st Place
The Ashland Calle Guanajuato Master Plan (Ashland Creek) is a flood management/creek enhancement and urban design project within the downtown sector of Ashland. The main objectives were to provide flood protection and to create habitat enhancements, park-like opportunities, and public spaces for outdoor dining and a weekly art market. Cameron McCarthy was the lead consultant for the five member design team. The design team compiled existing site history and conditions and facilitated multiple community workshops and input sessions. The process resulted in the development of a cohesive site redevelopment master plan for the City of Ashland and the Ashland Parks Department.
